About me
Dr. M. J. Lindeman has a unique background spanning cognitive psychology, artificial intelligence, and user-experience design. Her undergraduate focus on the Mind-Body relationship at Ohio State and her Ph.D. research in human and AI machine learning at Harvard were focused on understanding the mechanisms of thinking. As a national and international consultant, she bridged the gap between complex systems and the people who use them. For example, she led the award-winning design team for the Social Security Administration's new platform that made their services accessible on the Internet. Her expertise extends across the entire spectrum of AI, from the intricate details of machine learning algorithms to the strategic considerations of AI's return on investment. Currently, Dr. Lindeman's driving force is a desire to understand and use artificial intelligence to help people achieve their goals. Her personal research interest is "How does reality work?" She explores how to answer this question by analyzing and unifying the mental models of great original writers in psychology, physics, and other domains.Magnifying Minds (magnifyingminds.org) is a recently formed Columbus nonprofit that helps small businesses and nonprofits learn to use AI to achieve their goals.
