About me
Mandy Mallott is the director of the Ohio State Early Investor Network. The Ohio State Early Investor Network (OSEIN) is a network of individual investors from the broader Ohio State University community including alumni, parents, fans and friends who share a passion for entrepreneurship and angel investing. OSEIN connects investors with promising startups, primarily those founded or managed by fellow Buckeyes or leveraging technology researched at our university.
Prior to this she served as business development specialist for the City of Columbus Department of Development focused on job creation activities, specifically working to grow the Columbus economy through site development and business expansion. In addition to her work with businesses and developers, Mandy led the City’s site selection and opportunity zone efforts.
Mandy has also worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce in international trade enforcement and in federal economic development for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and as a legal analyst for the U.S. Trade Representative in trade agreement negotiations.
Mandy is a 2024 Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 recipient, and attended The Ohio State University graduating with a J.D. and Masters in Public Policy and Management and Case Western Reserve University graduating with a B.A. in English and Political Science. In her free time, Mandy serves as the President of the Columbus Academy Alumni Board, the Fundraising Chair of Fairy Goodmothers, is the assistant varsity swim coach at Columbus Academy, and runs her own art and antiques businesses.
